Florida drivers license

Hello if you're from Florida could please explain to me how the whole process works when trying to get your license with daca I'll be transferring mine from another state and this statement also confused me

"You must show proof of birth date and social security number (if issued). Immigrants and non-immigrants have different identification requirements. Once the state of Florida verifies identity and legal status, a drivers license or identification card will be issued within 30 days from Tallahassee and mailed to the address on the driver record."

Does that mean I won't get to drive for the first 30 days or do they give you a temporary one until they mail it out to you?

Hi, they give you a temporary one (paper document) while the produce your card.

Oh ok thanks I thought they just send you away with nothing

I got mine in Florida handed to me at the DMV. I just showed my SS card, EAD, and two pieces of mail.
