Should tell you the reason why it came back as unconfirmed. I had a TNC before, turns out my employer put in my social wrong. Check to see if they put the name and social correctly and make sure it would match DHS records (if applied for DACA as John Smith Adams and not John Adams, put in name correctly).

It could also be an error on DHS' part. As long as you all are contesting the results, they cannot fire you or take any adverse action like limiting employment or what have you

Edit: Make sure they didn't put him down as U.S citizen in the e-verify.
