Hey guys,

I rarely write here but always read posts, I think the last time I wrote was back when I got my DACA approved.

ANYWAYS...

My grandfather in Turkey is very sick, he gets hemodialysis three times a week and bunch of other health issues.. he is 81 years old. I gathered all doctors notes, laboratory results, translated by a sworn interpreter. Pretty much got the whole package ready and wrote a letter saying I need to leave by May 5th and return June 16th. I also wrote a letter kindly asking them to expedite due to the condition and since its for a humanitarian reason. I also wrote EXPEDITE in bold letters on top right corner of the application.

I sent it from Virginia through FedEx on March 2ndand they received it on March 3rd.

I just got an email today with the case number and saying they received it March 3rd and they also cashed the 360 dollar check today.

By the way it is at the Texas Service Center.

I bought my tickets already to leave on May 5th and I am really hoping I get it by then since he is not doing well.

Those of you with experience, especially the ones who were processed at Texas Service Center. Can you please provide your timeline or provide any opinions advice about this?

Do you think I would get it approved by May 5th and have the document in my hand?

I know I will not get denied nor get an rfe because I went over the board and did my research submitting everything they would need and more including birth certificates and bunch of extra documents!!

I would be very grateful to hear your feedback guys!!!!!

Thank you in advance,

ALLEN

I just got my AP approved today, it took a month and 5 days, from start to finish. And it was processed in the Texas Service Center.

Did you ask for it to be expedited? Did you send through usps or a courier? Do you have timeline or sent received approval with dates by any chance?

Anyone else in this forum with similar experiences through Texas Service Center? Looking forward to some responses... thanks guys!!!!

I sent mine through FedEx next day delivery. It was sent on March 2nd and they received it March 3rd.

I really need it approved cause I bought my tickets to leave US on May 5th. I have no clue how Texas Service Center processes in terms of timing. (Sigh)

Did you ask yours to be expedited? I am guessing yours if for a humanitarian reason as well? Keep me updated as well since we same dates.

I think you'll get approved in time. I read these AP threads obsessively and a member just reported a shockingly quick 2 week turnaround here but the average timeframe for approval is a month to six weeks. If you don't hear anything back by early April (say the 5th) then contact your Senator for help. This poster here was able to get a lot of help with Texas thanks to their Senator. Good luck.

Thank you for your feedback. I will definitely follow your advice if I do not hear anything back! I wrote expedite on the application and wrote a letter. I don't know if I also need to call uscis and ask them to expedite. I will keep you guys updated. In the meantime if anyone else has any feedback, advice or experiences please share!

You're welcome. I'd warn against calling. At best you're talking to low-level people (even if you request a level 2 rep) who have no direct involvement with your case. Also, it's only been a week.
