A little bit on my situation granted advanced parole traveled abroad 5days. Returning home checking In at airport took a little longer than usual since the girl had to verify my document she didn't know what it was. The flight was almost 4hrs n the give you a slip to fill out asking what you brought back and how long you were abroad and asking your is address. Landing got off plane and went in the visitors line. Waited in line the with my daughter and boyfriend we proceeded to a officer who asked me for a visa I gave him my travel document he asked what was my status I said deferred action he said for what I said childhood arrivals. He then asked if I had married my boyfriend I said no not yet. He seem confused I said this is a travel document I was granted to visit my Ailing relative I have deferred action wich allows me to live n work in the US,. He asked for my photo n fingerprints.he then asked my citizen boyfriend if my daugther was okay with him or if she had to be with me he responded normally she wants her mom when she wakes up. He said the place where I'm taking u is loud but I can ask the officer if it's ok for you guys to join her. He took my advance parole both copies my Daca approval and passport and said follow me as we walked he asked my age I responded he said you entered with inspection that was wrong of your family do they live on the usa I said yes he responded I hope they work hard I said yes. He then said wow you've been here a while i said yes almost 20yrs. He then gave my document to an officer who had more people and said follow him. We went down an elevator to another waiting area and said wait for your name took about ten minutes they called me and I went over he said take your documents and walk to the guard I said ok and I was confused he repeated take them and go I then walked away and seen the stamp of parolee what a relief the I handed them to a guard he opened the door to baggage claim thank you Jesus I made it

WOW! congratulations! all you have to do is marry and begin AOS. i say you move forward with this for the security of your family. thanks for having the courage to go through this. it gives others like me a picture of what to expect. and that was the issue i was worried about for you, since you came from dr it is very unlikely you were ewi but thankfully the cbp didnt find you inadmissible. again congratulations, very happy for you. i hope you enjoyed your time abroad and i hope you continue to take steps towards legalization

-best regards

Thanks for sharing Rose! By being courageous and taking the leap you inspire other dreamers to do the same. Good luck with your AOS!

I was very nervous but one thing is certain when your advance parole is approved they are granting permission to leave and come back and it doesn't count as a departure if you have no criminal record go for it and come back in peace. We can't help being brought her as minors hope my story helps any one in the same situation xo

Quick question, did the officer keep the two advanced parole documents or did he give you one of them?

Hey rose, I forgot to ask. I have heard of people getting different kinds of stamps that say DAS (deferred action status) or AOS (adjustment of status). Which type of stamp did you get on your passport?
