My brother and I are really contemplating on moving to Washington. I have read previous threads on the topic and my understanding is to move to the east coast. As I am attempting to visit I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to go about renting a house or apartment without an official U.S. ID.
We'd thought it would also be an opportunity to obtain a D.L. for my brother (no DACA) while we're there.

West coast. Well there have been talks that Washington will no longer be giving IDs to people here illegally. It was suppose to have happened here this year or last year but it was moved up I'll research it later. And yah you do need some sort of USA ID most renters want to see one of they are running a credit check on you or background check.

Ok, I guess I'll be the one renting the house. If the state is seeking to reverse their DL requirements I am figuring it would be beneficial to establish residence and attempt to obtain a D.L. as soon as possible.

My brother is already residing in North Dakota, so it wouldn't be a pain to get to Washington.

I would like to know what cities are preferable in attempting to obtain a D.L.
As you said, West coast cities... any in particular?

Vancouver? Seattle? BattleGround? I mean before moving here, what kind of jobs will you two try to get?

Oh wait no they will still allow folks here with out the proper papers to get ID but TSA will longer be acceping them in two years

Ok, we basically began running our own business here in Florida and wanted to move somewhere which allowed more mobility for my brother.

He's really wanting to visit and travel to assess possible locations to move to.

Thanks for the heads up BTW, that's good news.

You should be careful regarding moving. My main concern was moving from a state that grants in-state tuition to people who graduate from high school in that state. For example, I for a long time wanted to move from Illinois to Colorado because I have family there. I ended up not doing so, and I am really thankful I did not. I would have screwed myself in the education department because I would have been unable to pay for out of state tuition anywhere in Colorado. Just a reminder. I personally live in Illinois, and I love Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Thanks for the advice Johann, by brother will is really the one that will be stationed in Washington, I'll complete my education here in Florida for the next 2 years and then seek to move.
That is something many DACA recipients need to consider, especially while in high school. Consider relocating if you're in a state that does not grant in-state tuition.

In any case, I am still seeking a place to stay in WA for about a week to get to know the place.
