So I'm on unpaid leave today and I was thinking of making it a vacation for the next weeks.

My job is willing to wait as long as needed for me to get the card.

However, they're not happy pre-approving a two week unpaid absense (I told them I wanted to go on vacation).

I shouldn't have freaking said anything, should have just gone.

The thing is, I have no fucking idea when I'll get my card. So two weeks may go by and I still don't have it. That's two weeks lost.

I was approved on Oct 13. Card is still stuck in production. When do you guys think I'll get it?

I should not have said anything about it either, they didn't even noticed but I opened my mouth and it's too late. Been out of work for a month and just pray to God this ends sooner than later. Good luck Carnivore.

We should send an email to all DA forum members to not raise alarms and ask their employers. If your employer doesn't request it, you DO NOT need to inform them. You will probably get it within 3 weeks from your approval.

Have you tried going back to work showing your DACA Approval notice? I think you shouldn't worry too much about it, if you already talked to them and they are ok with you coming back I am sure they won't care.

The firm's lawyer said the physical card is needed. I'm not sure HR would be comfortable otherwise.

Also I'm being put on a new project and I'm not thrilled about it. Happy to be away to be honest.

Shit, just trying to look on the bright side of my situation. You know. When life gives you an expired work permit, you go to the Keys kinda thing.

I'm marketable and I don't think I'll have a hard time finding a job if it comes to that.

I'M GOING.

There's trouble brewing for me also! Just got a word from HR saying I need to show up with my EAD basically LOL. That shit has been under card production for a while. Need to get a hold of USCIS or else these people will toss my ass out of the building in no time.

by the looks of it, we both might hear something next week. I'm just hoping that if not, we hear something BEFORE the election. Who knows what will happen after that
