So me and my girlfriend have been dating for a couple of years and were planning on getting married sooner or later. Due to the Election we are looking to fast track it. Questions is, I am 25 and the main bread winner in our home. I work as a software engineer and have a construction business with by best friend which generates some extra income. My girlfriend in the other hand is only 23 and is a full time student (finishing her nursing degree). I have read when you try to do AOS the citizen must have a income per family size (to support their spouse or w.e). My question is would I be able to avoid that since I dont need any financial support. Has someone dealt with a similar case? By the way I''m a 3 time DACA recipient. Thanks in advance.

You can use your income as long as you have a valid EAD.

I filed for AOS and used my income to satisfy the requirements because my wife is also a full-time student. Go through my post history, I listed all the documents (sent in the packet) on a seperate thread.

Worst case scenario you'll need to ask someone to sponsor you which isn't too hard at all.
