How do you guys dress up for biometrics appt? I tend to go business casual.

Has anyone gone with basketball shorts and a t-shirt? I'm curious if they give you a hard time based on how you look?

If you are asking about biometrics associated with permanent residence, then absolutely business casual. I cannot overstate how having a document that will present "you" over the next ten years should always bring forth the best you have.
