Dreamers,

Many of us come from rough places from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Poland. There could be a chance many of us can get a green card in the near future and I read the news about the deported Mexican who was kidnapped in Laredo.

As a green card holder, does the usa gov help in trying to get us back if we are kidnapped? Or is that only for USA citizens.

Reason I asked is because my hometown is in the top ten most dangerous cities in the world.

As a green card holder I doubt anyone will do anything... You are still an alien and Colombia is responsible for that type of thing. Perhaps a U.S.C Spouse can pressure but I am not sure how successful that would be.

Tamaulipas in general is a shithole but it's neighbor Nuevo Leon has this gem called Monterrey which is pretty decent.
