Hey there

As some of you know already, I live in north Florida and I can't enroll at the community college here without papers.
So that's why I'm considering moving to Miami (or any other city in FL) where I could be able to attend college.

For those of you that are in FL and go to college, where do you live and what colleges are you attending? Anybody majoring in Architecture? What did you give them instead of a Social security number? etc...

I know that in Miami they allow students in our "situation" to attend comunity college if they pay out of state tuition, but I want to know if there might be something closer to where I am right now (Orlando? Gainsville?).

I appreciate your help. ^ ^

Broward > Miami

I'm pretty sure Broward Community College lets "our kind" attend. Other than that, i can't really help you since i'm not in college yet (lulz)

Even though Miami is farthest from where you live, you are better of going there because tuition at MDC is slightly lower than the other colleges in FL. It's cheaper than BCC and Edison College, which is the one I attend. You don't have to give them anything in place of a SSN.

You could look into Santa Fe community college. I believe that's in the gainseville area.

Would also provide a great stepping stone for UF when/if DREAM passes and you get the shot to apply there.

BCC seems LESS expensive than MDC, and it may be worth it if cuts your commute costs. The closest (most northern) MDC campus is still pretty far south from broward I believe.

Do you know for a fact that Santa Fe accepts Dreamies? I went to gainsville this past Sunday, and it seems like a really nice place; and it's only about 1 1/30 hours from where I am right now. My parents would rather have me go to a place that's closer to them.

I just checked, and BCC doesn't have an architecture program or major. And neither does Santa Fe

BCC has an architecture program. According to my friend, it's a pretty good program.

And BTW, I don't know if you've found out or not but if I remember correctly, SFCC doesn't allow DREAMies to attend.

HTH!
