Last year I was walking home and this guy was walking his dog, and when I cut corners the leash on the dog was loose enough that it came up to me and bit me right under my shin, front and back, the guy failed to hold him back from me. At the moment I didn't think much of it and it barely hurt, so we parted ways as my house was right around. Once I got home I noticed I was bleeding, and then the pain amplified by the minute. It was pretty bloody and painful, but I wasn't "mauled" or anything like that.

I decided to go to my local emergency clinic in case the dog could have rabies, and the clinic filed a report with animal control listing me as the victim. They found the owner of the dog and talked to him, and it turned out the dog was up to date with his vaccinations but already had a record of biting people.

Now that I look back at it, could this incident qualify me for a U-visa?

You have to fall into one of those categories.

Not to mention the motive had to be racism. And a cop has to be willing to back you up

Could have a case if the dog was ordered to attack you by the owner, essentially making the owner the perpetrator and the dog an instrument.

If some untrained ankle-bitter bit you then the answer is no.

Was it a racist dog? Or perhaps a sexual predator dog?

That’s why I don’t let strange dogs even come close to me. I see them on a lease with their owners, I warn them to stay away lol.
