Mulvaney: Trump's position on DACA 'depends on what we get in exchange'

After Congress voted Monday to end a three-day government shutdown, Trump teased negotiations on immigration reform, saying Tuesday morning that "nobody knows for sure" if Republicans and Democrats will reach a deal on DACA.

White House Office of Budget and Management director Mick Mulvaney said Tuesday that President Trump's position on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program depends on what the White House gets in an immigration deal.

"We want a large agreement. We want a big deal that solves the reason we have a DACA problem in the first place," Mulvaney said on CNN's "New Day."

I’m starting to not want anything as long as it means that Trump doesn’t get anything either. Fuck his entire administration.

As long as renewals are in place, I agree.

They want immigration system reform.

Well, Dream Act is the first step. Not daca. Dream Act.

Then deal with the INA.

Been saying this for a while but at this point DACa being left untouched is better than giving trump what he wants. I am fine with out bill passing if it means trump doesn't get what he wants and we keep DACa in is current state. It's clear now republicans never had any interest in helping us. It's time for us to find our own path.
