Where do you think we will end up in the near future?

There may be another budget showdown, but more likely nothing until after the Dems win the House in November or the Presidency in 2020. I am honestly hoping the SCOTUS doesn't take up the lawsuit and allows the appellate court rulings to stand. That would keep the program in place until another Democrat is elected in 2020 or at least a sane Republican like Kasich.

I do think we are heading to another immigration show down and possible government shut down later this year. Reps and Dems are hoping for it to happen next year after midterms. Trumps rhetoric lately has been frustration over the lack of funding for his wall and immigration. The only way Dems will allow that is if they get daca. Our issue is not a dead one since no side wants to actually have dreamers and daca recipients deported. After SCOTUS rules, that is really when congress will focus more on immigration.
