I came to the USA with my parents at age 11, I am 19 now. My parents are trying to fix thier status for years with no sucess and now I am in the situation that I cant drive or go to college, I live in Florioda.
I would like to know how other people in my situation doing.
That is very unfortunate. The driver's license issue is especially a big bummer. Mine expires on my birthday this year, and I cannot renew without a SSN. I've heard that some states allow you to renew and apply for a DL without it, and I heard that one of those states is Illinois. I am not sure about this though, it might have been just a rumor. It's worth looking into.
As for your status, I very much feel for you. Most of us are basically on the same boat here. We cannot work, attend college, or apply for credit. This handicaps us a lot in society. I know.. we all know this. But we are all here for that reason. We are fighting for the DREAM act to pass. So lets get along with it.
