Hey all,

I am going to be visiting the golden coast next week and I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for what I should do while I'm over there. I'm going to be in Los Angeles for a week and although I've lived there before, it has been 12 years. I'm staying around Marina Del Rey and I'm looking to spend a lot of my time in Santa Monica, Downtown and West Hollywood (I'm gay). Should I look towards any other neighborhoods? What about any suggestions within these neighborhoods? I'm pretty open to experiences but if you were a guy in your early 20s, what would you check out? Money isn't too much of an issue though I would like to keep non hotel/airfare expenses capped at about 1500 bucks.

Anyway, kind of a lighthearted thread which isn't what I usually do on this site. Any feedback from LA dreamers (I'm looking at you fellow 1998er) or other people more familiar with the area than I am would be very helpful.

XOXO

LA is full of smog, so unhealthy. Go to San Diego.

Kinda made my mind up already and anyways, SD is too close to the border.

What are you into? There is the Observatory or the History Museum. Those are pretty cool. Lots of hiking spot and with the recent rains we should have some with the waterfalls flowing. It just depends what you are into really. LA has an abundance of activities. Have fun
