I think it would be closer to Late 2018 to early 2019, the supreme court wants to put a rush on it. But i am not sure how a ruling against us from Texas would effect our ability to renew.

It is not the end game.

We have said that many times and then some surprise happens. I am of the opinion that the Supreme Court doesn't really want to get involved in immigration during an election year as the judicial is delicate about remaining impartial and non-partisan.

If that's the case, wouldn't the appellate court rulings would stand? And no matter what Hanen's ruling is, the program will remain in place?

I am not 100% sure that Hanen will rule against daca. Since we were given no legal status through daca, how could that be an overstep of the constitution and executive power. We are instead a low priority on the deportation list due to daca and it is in the presidents power to determine how to best execute the law and who to focus on. DAPA was not deemed unconstitutional but it violated the APA. Daca will not have the same issue.

I honestly believe these lawsuits against daca are being organized by the WH and JD to terminate daca.

As a side note:
Texas asked Hanen to temporarily block the program in time to prevent the Trump administration from complying with a competing judge’s order to start accepting new DACA applications on July 23.

What I am thinking is a divided ruling for a divided country. The US Circuit courts ultimately apply their ruling for each of their jurisdictions. The supreme court remains deadlocked everytime is the win-win situation.
