I-765 question

Hi Everyone, I had a question on the I-765 form. Questions #21 b. asks for "passport number of the most recently issued passport." the instructions for I-765 make it seem like they want the passport # for the passport used for your last entry though. which is correct? I've renewed my passport several times since my last entry. I used the most recent passport number"when i submitted my application for renewal so now I'm wondering if I did it wrong.

I always enter the number of my most recent passport
