I follow AOC and I agree with what she's been parroting.

Joe is great but in regards to immigration, I can see his office working for another executive order, but that's just it.

My bf says that EO is fine but it's still a shit deal. If they really want to do something, they have to pass things legitimately. But they won't and can't if they don't have the seats.

Going into this further, the participation or votes from Hispanics were at its lowest for the Dems, they still remember the extreme deportations of the Obama administration.

If Biden and co don't pass anything, we'll basically just go back to square one after four years.

I'm saying "if" because there's still an important run-off happening in Georgia, so if you have the time, I'd do at least some reading on how to help there. I think that's the only step anyone can do at this point.

I have a slightly bad feeling that everything will be just as bad and I'm just not talking about immigration, there's still the pandemic and the economy. I also don't want to marry yet and I don't like being stuck with the idea...

But do you agree? Would you help causes like what they'll have in Georgia's race?

How do you suggest that we help in the Georgia run-off?

The way something gets done on immigration is through bi-partisan support. Dems so far have only provided a symbolic bill with control of the house. We need to face the reality that no clean bill can pass, it needs to be paired with something the republicans want. There needs to be a middle ground and many liberals in Washington choose to ignore that. They can be as extreme as the far right.

Need I remind you that CIR 2013 was pretty god damn centrist and republican house refused to take it up? Only way CIR can realistically happen in this political climate is with republicans under the train.

They would need a majority AND to kill the filibuster. Manchin has already come out against the nuclear option, so not sure there is really a shot there.

Yeah, hit Perdue's shady deals. Get some dirt on him or pull a trump, find a rumor, and run with it. Those deal he made during covid could crucify him politically... if Dems were willing to go that far.

Dems love the High Road, " at least we never stoop to their level" and all that BS. Weak hearted p*ssies.
