My Daca permit will expire on 6/23/23

I'm thinking about renewing on January due to all this political BS and how Judge Hanen can rule DACA out of existence ... but dang... I'm losing 6 months of DACA time. :/

Renew now. Do you really want to risk not getting renewed on time because you’re worried you might lose time? It’s not worth it. Just send it in and don’t think about it anymore.

I expire 05/23. Applied for renewal in Oct. Approved Today right at the 150 day mark.

I don't look at it as losing 6 months. I look at it as gaining 1.5 years.

It won't reach Supreme Court until 2024. So no need to rush.

Yeah I'm interested in knowing how you concluded on that..... that would be great news...and even if it does and its struck down, will it impact those who already have the work permits...at least for the time being that they are valid? Damn we need to hire an in house counsel to answer all these questions lol...

The SC will have the power to decide how to wind down the program. They will want to avoid doing significant harm in their ruling. They could leave the current status quo in place and completely end any chance of new applicants. The SC has a habit of bailing the Dems out of their failures and mistakes.

The issue is the next president will have an easy time ending the program, if its considered illegal.
