THIS IS LEADERSHIP AND AN EXAMPLE OF PRODUCTIVE, HUMANE SOLUTIONS!!!

https://twitter.com/SenAlexPadilla/s...C91eD8ie0tAAAA

Padilla is urging Congress not to leave behind the over five million essential workers without permanent legal status that kept Americans healthy, fed, and safe during the pandemic ahead of the Biden Administration lifting the federal public health emergency. Padilla was joined by labor representatives from the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), United Farm Workers (UFW), CARECEN-LA, Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-Greater LA), Pilipino Worker Center, SEIU Local 2015, and SEIU USWW. The legislation is co-led by Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in the Senate. Representative Joaquin Castro (D-Texas-20) introduced a companion bill in the House.

Fact sheet:
https://www.padilla.senate.gov/wp-co...Fact-Sheet.pdf

Urge your senators to support this - it covers up to a million DREAMERS as well.

Kind of screws over other Dreamers who aren't worthy of being "essential" doesn't it? It's bad enough that it won't cover Dreamers who don't have DACA and therefore can't legally get an "essential" job but then it will be a big fuck you to those Dreamers who had the audacity to not get a job in an arbitrarily worthy career.

Yeah, the one in Cleveland Texas turned out to be undocumented who was supposedly deported 4 times and of course that was the lead story. Even the victims' status was fair game to the governor apparently until he backtracked it.

Doubt it. majority of the public looks at DACA people differently now since 2012. even 67% of Trump voters favor some sort of path for us. And no DACA person would do this. DACA people love America.

The border will be overrun when Title 42 lifts on Thursday. I hope they do something comprehensive about immigration and the border issue. When millions of these people cross this week, undocumented who are already here and DACA people will be second fiddle to these people claiming asylum.

I stopped reading at "Padilla." lmfao....even worse...a Dem from California...

No chance.

Democrats can't do shit, or should I say don't want to do shit but want to make it seem like they're doing shit. Must be election season apparently.

this is going to force states to take measures into their own hands and make it hell for everyone, look at Texas and Florida.

democrats keep introducing these bullsht bills that got 0 chance of passing to make them look like they are doing something.
