Seems like the democrats just resorted to delusions at this point.

U.S. Rep. Sylvia Garcia, a Houston Democrat, first introduced the American Dream and Promise Act in 2021 and refiled the bill in 2023. It failed to pass both times.

This legislation is senisble and reasonable. A DACA solution does not need to be a part of a bargaining poly by Republicans. We are the lowest hanging fruit and least controversial segement of immigrants to legalize!

Why can't a dozen or two Republicans come out and support and vote for this? This legislation is reasonable and senisble, but they are not.

I have lost faith in Republicans and they have lost my support. Sad!

I am sure they feel that doing anything for us will make them look like they support illlegal immigration and I cannot blame them. Why would they risk their image and votes in the next election for us who cannot even vote. Even if we could get immediate citizenship and vote, we are 800k only and spread out through the US and many of us will not even vote so they will not get anything in return. Simply makes no sense for any politician to help us. That's why Obama enacting DACA was a miracle.

this makes me rage uncontrollably.

HOW MANY BLOOODY TIMES THEY GOT TO INTRODUCE DOA TRASH LIKE THIS???

NO DACA legislation will pass if its NOT exclusively for DACA recipients.

STOP. MIXING. DACA. WITH. TPS. AND. OTHERS!!!!!

STOP THE LEGALIZATION FOR ALL OR NOTHING BULLLSHHTTTT!!!!!

all that said, the real fight starts when DACA gets inevitably killed by SCOTUS.

did you even BOTHER reading this useless bill?

it mixes us AGAIN with the other groups and basically gives amnesty.

0 chance this trash passes.

nobody is doing nothing rn because DACA is still standing, wait until it SCOTUS kills it. its going to be a bloodbath.

We don't know if SCOTUS will kill DACA. They may keep letting existing recipients renew (since that would be the common sense and decent thing to do).

Lol, the Dems introduce the dreamAct whenever they have ZERO power. Whenever there is a shred of chance of something passing it’s crickets, silence, we don’t exist. F the Dems !
