I filed my AB540 stuff long time ago when I just entered my community college. do I have to file a new affidavit if I quit a quarter or semester of school when I re-enter? Anyone had experience with this? I will find out later but I am just a little anxious. thx all!

I'm on the same boat as you. My community college requires you to fill one out at the beginning of each semester. They still let you sign up for all the classes, but it'll add up what you owe according to out of state tuition until you file the AB540 with the school, once accepted your balance is automatically changed to reflect the AB540 student (in-state tuition) rate.

for cc and university i went to, i only had to file the very first time i entered each school. every upcoming term the the system already had my ab540 information so i didn't have to worry about it.

i am going back to community college this summer, i hadnt gone there in two years so they told me i had to re-register. i hope my ab540 information is still there, i dont want to deal with all that paperworks (though its only two papers )
