Yes, i was a legal intern for a couple of months. I worked for an attorney, went to trials, got to go into the judge's office! so many books! ... usually internships are easy to get into, check with your school, or do it online.

do you have a social or did you have to discuss that with the "career center" also, I suspect you took a nonpaid internship right?

Did one at a government agency and had to have a background check and everything. It was unpaid, but they did request to see the SS card... I have one with the "NATW" stamp on it but they didn't say anything.

The people there kept bugging me about why I wouldn't turn in my mileage sheet... lol.

What sort of internship are you looking at?

Im an Intern for an attorney well now im like an employee. the way i got my internship was through another attorney. I asked my mom to take me to an immigation attorney to see if there was anything i could do to fix my status since enrolling in college was a big hassel since i didnt have a ss or an id (i had previously gone to 4 attorneys who said nothing could be done, but i though why not get a fifth opinion lol ) well my mom knew this attorny and i was explaining my situation and all the hardships that illegal students have. so he just said that he already had enough legal secrtaries but he had a friend that i could intern for, so that same day i went to his friends law office and they gave me the intership. They saw that i was a hardworker and that i learned quickly so they went ahead and hired me ive been woring here for 1 year and 3 weeks. if you talk to an immigartion attorney or maybe some one who is involved with pro immigration im sure you can get an intership.
