In new ads running in high Hispanic poulation battleground states- Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada- the Mccain camp blamed the Democratic leadership for the failure of the immigration reform bills in 2007.

Who are they trying to kid? All of America watched as President Bush and John McCain failed to get the conservative extremists in their own party to support the bill. They watched as conservatives like Sessions, DeMint, Vitter, ignored the views if a majority of Americans and destroyed the legislation. In 2006, it was the Republican House of Representatives that passed the Sennsensbrenner bill and then refused to consider any other bill unless it was an enforcement only approach.
So typically Republican tactic. They hated immigrants then and they hate them now. The only difference is now they need the powerful Hispanic vote to get them elected. Use and discard. Its time to punish the republican party for its mistake.

I hope the Hispanic community is smart enough to ignore these ads. They should reward the Democratic lawmakers who worked diligently to bring a better life to all undocumented people.

Obama was right. McCain IS a liar. He knows damn well that his party is responsible for immigration reform. This guy would do ANYTHING and say ANYTHING just to get elected. Let's hope the voters don't believe his lies.

That is absolutely ridiculous... and he says he wants to run a respectful and honest campaign. I really hope the American people can see through that, but of course many of them will believe anything the media says and tells them to believe.

Is this the same John McCain who said he would not vote for his own McCain/Kennedy immigration bill if the opportunity arose again?

^ I'm amazed at the gall of the McCain campaign.

McCain's Spanish Language Immigration attack ad

Pictured with mean faces include Sen. Obama, Sen. Reid, Sen. Dodd, and Sen. Leahy; all supporters of the immigration bill and the Dream Act.

Does McCain think Hispanics are stupid?
