amtrak safe? (LA to SB)

Is taking the Amtrak from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara safe? (via pacific surfliner). I've taken this same train down to San Diego a few times with no problems though.

You have a chance of being caught 24/7. Depends on what you consider to be "safe"
