Like the tittle says I applied for FAFSA instead of Cal Dream Act by mistake I even entered my DACA SSN. After I found out that I applied for the wrong one, I applied for Dream Act but the problem is that my FAFSA is linked to my schools and not the Dream Act. When I go to my school of choice's website and look at my financial aid report it tells me this:

Miramar College has received your Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). You will soon receive additional information and/or instructions
from our office.

Thank you for submitting your application for financial aid. Unfortunately,
the Department of Education was unable to process your application due
to incomplete or missing information.

You must go to the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.gov and provide the missing
information or make the required corrections to your FAFSA application.
Be sure to read the comments section for the exact issue that needs to be
addressed.

If you have already made the necessary corrections, please disregard this
notice.

Once you have made the corrections and your FAFSA has been successfully
updated, the financial aid office will contact you and let you know what
other forms or documents are needed to complete your application to be
considered for financial aid.

----
Is there any way to remove my FAFSA application so that the Dream Act can be linked to my schools?

Either way, you'll be denied. They do run the application through DHS to check for status. As for the application, it is not too late to apply for aid if you're going to a community college.

The only concern is if you misrepresented yourself.

My cousin was recently approved for DACA and he applied for FAFSA and he got 2,000 dollars. I don't understand how since we can't get FAFSA.

He did not get FAFSA. sometimes counselors will ask students to fill out a fafsa application to determine institutional aid. However, the application is not submitted into the system. I wish they would stop doing that kinda shit. It confuses people and gets false information out. The 2,000 were most likely institutional aid.

Withdraw your application and call them up and call the school. We are not allowed to apply for FAFSA.
