She mentioned that since this case has been sent back to the lower courts, it could potentially take years to reach the Supreme Court due to the lengthy court battle ahead.

These "judges" took along time to come with this nonsense ruling, essentially Texas Dacaers can still work and renew but no new applications will be accepted (so same as now) while the dacaers in the rest of the country can work, renew and new applications can be accepted everywhere but Texas. If you ask me, this is a big win for daca and this ruling takes the pressure off politicians to do something.

As far as I understand nothing has changed for DACAers in Texas or anywhere else in the country. In my opinion, the ruling was more like a formality than an actual decision on the program, no immediate consequences. DACAers can still submit renewals. New applications are not being processed.

All 50 states will still accept renewals. The ruling never said that Texas will stop accepting renewals. These clowns essentially declared that daca is illegal but daca can still be used ��

this was just a heads up warning that SCOTUS WILL kill DACA, congress will scramble for a solution last hour which chances are high that it will fail again IF United We Dream is still on that Legalization for All or Nothing bullsht.

they are kicking the can to SCOTUS. it will be a major crisis if DACA ends, they don't want that blood on their hands.

I read an article describing DACA recipients (not Dreamers) as an aging and thinning population and truer words could not have been said.

Courts always weigh the impact of their decisions and the positional damage they can cause. It could be that the SC rules daca is illegal but keeps the program in place due to the potential damage (personal and economic) terminating it can cause. Rulings can be shaped in such a way, as we have seen for the past 8 years.
