I went in for the interview and tried to make myself look glorious. They liked me and called my references. Then they called me in to do training. They put my name in the stystem and then he put it my Itin and told me their was an error. He asked me a lot of questions. I could not tell him the truth. He asked me to bring in more information the next day. Of course I didn't I just left the job. He told me to bring back his name tag. But, I think I'm going to keep it lol.

lol Don't go back.

One time at the age of 16, I went to apply at a car wash and showed the employer my "documents." The employer looked at my "ID", looked at me, and literally said: "This is fake. I can have you arrested for this."

At a car wash . . . wow. I am going back to that place the day that I am legal, and I am going to make that guy spit-shine the 20 inch rims on my Bentley.

^^^Good idea, my boss was Chinese and crazy. Maybe I'll ask him to make me a pizza and then tell him I don't want it because he didn't make it right.

What ID did u show? If u read the rules in the I-9 form it say no employer can discriminate against the doc u show, after all employers are not immigration officers and in reallity most don't even know how a Green Card, Work permit card, and other immigration related doc look like!!

The job of employers is to do the I-9 form and just keep it for 3 years, and only if there is a immigration audit can they really find out ur statues, but if they use E-verify they can kinda see ur statues, but if the information doesn't Match all they can tell u to go to the SS offices to get the problem fixed, also they can check ur statues if the do a intensive back ground check

Oh really? Well, I was young and dumber then. I guess he was just looking for an excuse for not hiring me. He probably thought I was too young.

I forgot to mention something. When he saw something was awkward with my "Resident Alien ID," he immediately compared it to a valid one, told me mine was fake, and told me to scram.

Thank you so much for the information though. I will pass this along to all of my family members, so they do not freak out so much when applying for a job.

Yes. Those type of people bug me, but I hate it when, for example, uncles, aunts, and even grandma judge and want you to fail. That is my situation. My parents support me till the end. But, my "uncles, aunts, and grandma" on my mom's side of the family call me a wetback and just want me to fail. Returning to Mexico would mean that their sadistic wishes came true. So, here I am. Waiting for the DA to pass.
