I don't know if this is a dumb question, but I just got my DACA renewed, and I was just wondering if I need to get my SSN "renewed" as well? Does anyone know?

Do not need to renew! SSN does not change or expire (even though it takes only valid with DHS document).

Your SS number will NEVER change. Guard it with your life in every way possible. Once you're work permit renews the records will automatically update themselves under your SS and you will continue to be eligible to work. There is no renewal with SS numbers. It's yours forever and the second someone steals it your identity will be stolen so once again guard it!

You don't renew it. However, once your status changes to citizen, for example. You can request a new card without the restriction, "Only valid with DHS authorization." You keep the same number forever.

Same applies for permanent residents (unconditional only), as well as a few other groups like refugees and asylees (also non-citizen nationals, but there is no way at the present to become one without being born one). All of these groups also qualify for social security cards with no restrictive text.
