About a month ago I got paid 18 extra hours by mistake. I told them about the error as soon as I found out but they did not fix it on time because it was almost the end of the pay period. I got an email yesterday saying that they needed my consent to deduct what they had overpaid me for (I live in CA). I don't get paid a lot and it was not a lot of money but I don't know what to do. I would have hoped they would have just forgoten about it since I told them about the error.
