So my mom got mad yesterday and she basically told my brother and I she wouldn't take us to school anymore.

Well I'm not bitching about that even though I have to take prolly three buses to even get there, and back, but it's the end of the semester, I have finals, I just started a weekend class, she JUST said yesterday that she was proud of me for going to school Mon-Sat [I am studying introductory quantum physics as an independent study], so why does she have to make things so difficult? We're her kids, if we COULD we would drive ourselves, we would have a JOB, we would do things the right way and responsibly.

Does this happen to any of you guys? Do your parents make things more difficult for you instead of help you?

I'm sorry if it sounds I'm whining, I just wanted to know if anyone else goes through this or if my mom just has a problem.

Its simple *_*. Just say i am sorry and it wont happen again. Parents usually want best for their kid and forgive them upon apology. I dont know the details, but usually parents are the one that are right. Usually of course, not all the time . Plus as you said, its final times. Is it the right time to get in argument with your mom ?

Well when it happens to me, Its just a one or 2 day thing. I usually eaither ask my friends to give me a ride on those days.

It's not that, I'm just independent, I'm not apologizing, she wants to go back to Mexico so better than I get used to it no?

I honestly am tired of her always bitching about what I do or don't do, I DO things for her, I love her, she's my mom, but I'm not gonna bow down to every single of her wishes, thanks for the replies though guys.

Moms are like that. I moved back to Arizona a while ago because I thought I could go to school there and though she knew I was having a hard time finding a job, she refused to let my dad send me money because I'd left "without her permission" - at 22, imagine that...

Dads yell, and moms coerce. This may not be true of everyone, but it is of my family, at least.

Don't worry guy, you'll have to put up with her 'bitchiness' yet a while longer; keep working on your degree and then you'll have the 'upper hand'.

My mom was like that and it was very hurtful because no matter what you do, you want the support of your parents. Plus most of the time they are mad because you went out, stayed our to later, something juvenile that I think we are old enough to do. Well hang in there I find that now that I am older I am beginning to see things more from their perspective. That and now her focus of attention is her grandchildren. It is great because she doesn't bother me anymore and now she is beyond supportive.

Well you have to understand that your mom is probably tired. If she makes you take the bus, then take the bus because you're not going to be the only one doing it. I know it's tiring because I do commute everyday, but it's really not that bad if you just toughen up and just do it... We can't expect our parents to help us in the way we want them to. My parents make me accept how life is and I respect that because they're trying to make me stronger in a way...

One day, she'll know what you've done for her-with or without her help.

I know this, I'm not bitching about taking the bus, shit, I like it, it's good exercise, I just wish she would stop saying no one appreciates her, because even if my dad and brother don't, I do, and she just puts me aside like I'm not important, that's what hurts, because she knows I help her if she asks, when I just can't, I tell her honestly.

The best way to resolve problems esp with parents is to talk to them directly with honesty, sincerity, and respect. Getting ideas from others may do you some good but not in a single way with you and your mom, i believe.
No one here knows what you and your mom is going through, or who you are and how your mom's like as much as you do.
Try your best to talk to her my friend. I'm sure all of us here can help on approaching her in better ways if it is difficult for you right now.
