Submit AB 540. But! I go to a CSU and what happened was that I had to pay out-of-state fees first because I needed to submit my HS transcripts. That's after graduation and I register before late June... So I ended up paying about 6000 bucks then filled out a refund form and got my money back. But second semester was better because I just paid resident fees. If you transfer CSUs in the future, you'd need to fill out another AB 540.

I mean I' just show them proof that i live in cali and then I don't have to pay those extra $200, right? another question when u guys go to clubs n stuff, can u like, show an identification from ur country of origin, do they accept that? It's like, an I.d but it isn't a liscense or a social security card, it's just an I.D that says u're a citizen of that country. If I show that at a club would they let me in?

It's the affidavit that allows you to pay in-state tuition. It should be on your school's website. Just print it out, fill it out, and mail it.

Well you should be more concerned with obtaining resident tuition status rather than ID for clubs. Regardless, most clubs only accept passports as proper forms of foreign ID. The reason is that clubs know that tourists and foreign visitors also want to go to clubs so they accept passports as proper Identification. Any other form of foreign identification is unacceptable on the fact that clubs do not know how easy/difficult the ID is to forge.

If you're concerned about going to one of those seedy, underground clubs, then you have little to worry about. They rarely care about ID because the clubs have a lot of illegal activities taking place. Any other club will only accept passports. Unless you know someone who can get you in without ID.

All they care about is that you are old enough to be there. They want you to come into their bar/club because that means more $$$$$ for them. I doubt they would even know what a visa stamp looks like. I use my passport all the time.

No, they just need to see the date of birth and your photo. Thats all they need. They don't care whether you have a visa or not. You really think some bouncer will be asking you about your immigration visa. These guys are paid next to nothing and have to deal with rowdy, screaming people all the time. On top of that, most of them are jacked up on steroids so they don't give a damn.
