American Families United is fighting to get this straightened out. That's what they get for being so anti-immigrant. Oh, and by the way, there is some people with valid SS# who are undocumented and have gotten money back. So as you can see they can't keep up with millions of people.

Yup, I know of an undocumented immigrant with their own valid SSN that got their rebate.

can someone please tell me if we can pay tax with SSn that says not able to work?
after all, the employer only requires number right?
please let me know, our family really needs to pay tax, we don't even expect rebates or anything, just the ability to pay tax
thanks in advance

Yes you can..How do you not know that already? Its been discussed a thousand times. The IRS only checks the SS numbers, it doesn't check whether the SS number is valid for work or anything.

yes i heard it thousand times, and my uncles paid tax for the last ten years as well,
but his ssn does not have "not able to work" sign, and when he turned in his w-2 it was not denied
my mother tried turning in her w-2 and it was denied, the employer's book keeper told them it was no good,
we were too afraid to try it afterwards,
my question is, does it work sometimes and not work other times?
