Well securing the border is one thing, just as how amnesty is compared to CIR. Huckabee, could of easy supported us since he did not supported amnesty but maybe he support a CIR.

McCain Holds Private Meetings because he knows he will pander to the audience. He is the worst kind of politician one that says what it takes to be elected even opposing his one record.

They are all pondering their votes. You don't get elected otherwise.

However, I do not agree with the sentiment that he is not sympathetic to the problem. As someone said, his track record shows otherwise. He has voted for CIR and for the DREAM Act before. He, like any other politician, has other bases to cover. Is that good or bad only time will tell.

On the flip side, I am not confident that Obama can pull the Republican vote in Congress. Just because he gets elected, doesnt necessarily mean that the Republicans will leave their bases and vote for "change".

but actually Obama become a president.. then we have more chance to get CIR or Dream Act done, becuase his stand his position really hard. on the other hand, McCain won't, and he changed his position all the time. we cannot believe him most of time.

I think we've seen clearly that it is not about being able to stand on one side of the issue or the other. Its about being able to give and take at the same time.

Nobody will give you CIR and even the DREAM Act for free, conservatives will want something in return. This is exactly why I was so pissed at Sen. Reid for simply giving the Republicans their wall, their side of the bargain, without gaining anything, nada, zilch, in return. Evidently it is much easier to vote for "making America safer" from those terrorist farmers down south than to vote for fixing an injustice.

Like I said, I simply do not share the sentiment that Sen. McCain as President will be bad for us or the country. I say we don't know. He has done a lot of good for immigration reform and the DREAM Act. I cannot sit here and say that he doesnt support us.
