^^Lol,I was thinking the same thing. He is really lucky to have someone like her.I remember sending a P.M to Taskgirl with some links on overcoming the 'extreme hardship' requirement in I-601's just before the Dream act vote. She was 99.9% sure at that time on doing the I-601 process instead of leaving her husband's future in the hands of Congress.

Now her husband should be able to apply for Citizenship in 3 years so they don't have to worry about this mess ever again.

Hey guys, Im living now in Dublin, Ireland.. I wonder if i should go to a consulate here, and perhaps tell my short story, and ask for a waiver just to visit my family, its expensive to apply for the waiver/application (10 yr ban) about 200 euros.. 350 dollars...Im not sure what my story would be, hey mr consul im applying for a waiver because i lived in us for 16 yrs and my story is compelling because i lobbied in dc and visiter mr durbin in dc as an illegal? lol and i want to visit my illegal parents and us citizen sister (dont think that will fly) but i guess you never know, and i got nothing to lose

Any regrets?! im not sure, i dont know..On one hand it feels great to be "free" here not being scared, or maybe not scared but in back of my head, thinking hey im illegal.. Here i kind of feel proud giving my irish social security number, and knowing that im straight with the system, and knowing im entitled to all the benefits, working etc.

On other hand, i dont feel complete. I feel like i gave so much for the fight of passage of dream act, traveling to dc, meeting with durbin, hundreds of phone calls.. For me its not really anymore of becoming legal...Now i just wish i would be able to meet with a US consul for 15 minutes and telling him/her my story, if i did that i think he or she perhaps would not give me legal status but at least would perhaps give me the right of visiting and removing the 10 yr ban....I think, i might in couple of weeks fill out the waiver on the 10 yr ban..With the success of Taskgirls situaiton and Juan going to Georgetown, why not?! What do i have to lose?

To those wondering what im doing now... I got my degree in Hospitality Management from one of the NY universities. Now im working for a 4 star hotel, as a receptionist, im making about 30k Dollars, with benefits, free meals, dry cleaning etc etc not bad

Wow! I had no idea you had left!

I'm happy that you're doing well! I can imagine what you feel, after all, you were one of THE hardest working ppl here trying to pass the DA... But it was still all a great experience fo you anyway, i mean, how many people can say they met with a top US senator? right?
Well, good luck with everything! and I do hope you can come sooner than in 10 years.

I'm really glad people are coming back and sharing their experinces. The person who showed me COSA is now legal and I asked her why she doesn't post and she said it's like waving a sandwich in front of someone who's starving.

It makes me feel better to know that we do sometimes win.
