are we going to lose her vote if she becomes secretary of the State?
some articles said that they are close to deciding her for the position,
would someone replace her spot? if then, there is a chance that there might be anti-immigration senator and we might lose her vote right?

Just saying, but... no way in hell is New York going to elect an anti-immigration senator. New York is a Democrat stronghold, I would be very surprised to see this race be tight. The only realistic Republican who might sort-of have a chance would be Giuliani, but his stance on immigration isn't exactly the same as Tancredo's stance.

Yes. If she becomes Secretary of State someone will have to replace her seat in the Senate. Usually this spot is appointed by the governor. Seeing that New York is a very Democratic state, I don't see them appointing an anti-immigration candidate.
