Recruiting People to DAP
Most people don't know about DAP and end up making decisions that come back to haunt them.They think they can't go to college at all and never try or try to go back and get a student visa (bad idea) or think they can't adjust via marriage because they are EWI.
Let's find these people so we can share the knowledge on DAP.
Think of search terms people in our positions might use
ex. "can an illegal go to college" or "How can an illegal join the military" etc Or on popular immigrant sites (such as univision forums) or other sites.
Let's track these people down and direct them towards DAP. If you go to a community college in CA or NY, TX, or IL put up a DAP flyer.Do it in the middle of the night if you're worried someone will see you. It could be something as simple as"Undocumented Student? www.dreamact.info/forum" OR "AB450 student? www.dreamact.info/forum" This worked for some people back in the day of COSA.
I learned about DREAM around ~2002 when there was very little info on the bill online and I had to take my lawyer's word that it was 100% guaranteed to pass by 2004.
It's hard for me to understand how someone could have not heard of it but they do exist and the MAJORITY of DREAMers have not heard of the DREAM Act. We have to reach them if we're going to be successful in 2009.
