As far as the "they are taking USC's spots in college" comment I often see it as a fear of competition and kinda wanting to make the collegiate system some sort of kiddie tee-ball game where 'everyone wins!' (I used to coach) as long as you're USC...the collegiate system needs to be more competitive and raise their acceptance standards overall if you ask me thus I think that instead of badmouthing DREAMies they should use us as motivation...cuz for me competition = motivation
Lol they dont like us because we're smarter than their USC children.

Seriously, that logic is so stupid. If those kids were better prepared than us, then they would have no problem getting accepted to any college.

I once heard a reporter say that illegals who bring their children into the U.S. are "dumbing down our schools"
which made me mad as hell.

Amnesty (from the Greek amnestia, oblivion) is a legislative or executive act by which a state restores those who may have been guilty of an offense against it to the positions of innocent persons. It includes more than pardon, in as much as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offense. The word has the same root as amnesia.

It's the college/education stuff that bothers me the most.
They're worried that DREAMies will be more competition for school admissions, that we'd steal their spots.

Well if we do, then that just means they're dumb. We're not responsible for their stupidity!

And the financial aid thing--makes me so angry because a lot of people oppose DA just for that reason alone. I wish that newspapers would get it right, also.
We're not asking for a handout--we never have and we never will.

And that all beneficiaries will be Mexicans.
So ignorant..and leaves out the Asians! I feel even more invisible.
Kind of a good/bad thing, I guess.

Normally, I'm just an Asian kid. Invisible, no searches. But - whenever I have to use my passport, it raises an alarm. That "REPUBLICA ARGENTINA" raises it.

But yeah, I'm hating the fact that Hispanics are singled out the most.

right now right now, the fact that immigrants are being blamed for the recession is really pissing me off.
and welfare.. hmm? and tell me again how we get it? oh wait, we cant..
plus its not like we need it. were here to work, study and improve our lives. i mean, if were were really lazy enough not to work, wouldnt we be back in our countries, were we wont be prosecuted? .. they swear like we want to live the miserable life we have to face sometimes. if we didnt want to contribute to this great country, our home, wouldnt we all be failures like alot of other americans? because after all, thats basically what we are right? were working our asses off. we deserve that title.
