The only thing I have wondered is what is so wrong with being a nice guy? I don't mean about being a player, but in normal relationships.

I guess some girls see nice guys as not being "manly" enough or something.

the guy from the audio recording is clearly trying to appear something he is not. What kind of looser says to a girl in a message "I'm a quite a catch". I'm 99.99998% sure that when the girl heard that though to herself something like:

"Yeah, if you were such a catch and a great guy, you would'nt have to say it"

It is sad to see that a guy had to degrade (sp? or is it even a word?) himself just because he likes this olga that seems like a witch.

And about that of "what is so wrong about being a nice guy" question, the answer is:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a 'nice guy' when you're already in a relationship. The problem most guys face is being too nice too soon.

Example.

On a first date, most guys would show up with some kind of gift, flowers, candy, or a stupid card. What does this behavior says to the girl?
"Do whatever you want to me. I want you and I'm willing to do anything to get your approval and let me be your man. You can use me as a doormatt if you want"
And girls that are worth having don't like guys that would let anyone use them as doormatts.

Again, you can show up to a date with flowers and candy and all that stuff if you have been seen this girl for 6 months and now you know she is different. Otherwise she might think you're trying to buy her attention with gifts and dinners.

Sometimes girls don't want someone who is after them with "sweat words". I know from first hand experience that some girls would rather call someone that makes fun of them and their insecurities, who is confident about himself, and that is not as boring and depressed as they are. And you can say that these girls are the ones that have multiple "infections" and stuff like that, but the truth is that you will be amazed to see what type of girls these are.

Now, go apply this knowlegde and get laid you my legion of horny guys!!!

I know it sounds odd, and I'm exactly the most reputable person around here with a few posts to my name, but there is truth to the things juang is saying. There are many ways to go about it, and being cocky and funny is just one of those ways, and it does work.

That being said, it's not really even about the cocky and funny, it's all about the confidence. It's not about being the jerk, but about being the guy who isn't a pushover, and it's not about being the nice guy, but the guy who's truly emphatic. Most nice guys are nice only because they want to get into the girl's pants, remember that. How many hot girls do you know with a veritable legion of nice guys that follow them around, and do you really think they did it for the friendship in the first place? Most of the time it's just a sleazy back-handed way to get with the girl, instead of being authentic about their intentions.

So there is truth to the posts juang made, be confident, be authentic, and just do it. Don't treat her like crap, but don't treat her like a queen either. Let her earn your respect, and don't demean her by freely giving her respect only because of her looks. If she disrespects you, then just walk away, she's not worth it. Don't continue to pine over her and submit to her every whim, because then...you've just turned into a nice guy.

being nice is great, but you have to be an ass once in a while, show em who's boss lol be assertive, you cant always be like, o hey lets do what you wanna do, cuz if its guna be like that, your guna stay in the friend zone.
