Hello everyone,
I am illegal like most people in this forum. I came to U.S. as a tourist when I was a teenager and stayed ever since. I've been living without papers for the past 8 years. I've went to high school and college.

I've had most problems most dreamers have like
Fear of getting deported
Hard time finding a job
Struggle to pay college
Discriminated for being illegal
Problems with transportation
Problems with proper Identification
and financial problems.

I've learned life is hard maybe harder for us here in the U.S. But I've manage to cope and deal with all the problems. I learn to accept my situation. I saw the glass half empty but now i realize it's half full.

I've learned many things coming to the U.S . I am working and helping my family. I am better being illegal here in the U.S. then citizen in my country. The economy in my country is worst then the recession we are having here in U.S. I've travel around the U.S. and seen interesting places. I've met a lot of new and interesting people.

There is a reason why we are here in the U.S. We are starting from the ground up to appreciate everything we have and obtain with our hard work. This country needs us in many ways.

If the dream act doesn't go through people shouldn't give up and blame it all on their status. The government knows about all of us and they need us to run this country.

Things I've done and people can do:

*Travel around U.S. with an I.D. (passport, driving license, any other valid ID.)
*Obtain a driver license in some states (No SS# required...apply for one and use the letter of denial to get a driving license)
*Get a tax I.D. and use it to open a bank account and most things that require a SS#. (my theory is that the IRS or the government knows about people using ITINS(tax i.d.) as SS# but you are paying taxes that don't get back to you so why would the government get rid of you if you're doing a favor to them.)
*Go to college with residence tuition in some states.
*And I've been arrested (trespassing) but released with no problems and charges dismissed.
*Got health checkups for free or low fees in some hospital and clinics.
*Learned very helpful life skills working in the worst jobs.

Having a different situation doesn't guarantee a better life, its the things we live, learn and appreciate that makes your life better.

Obtained a Washington Driving License which expires 2013
Have a Tax ID that i use instead of the SS# for most things (haven't had problems yet using at the bank or for work)
