They are the places one can obtain a Drivers License even if they do not have a SSN.

Oh really?
So I can get a license in Seattle then drive back to California and use my Seattle license?

I'd heard that Maryland was unfriendly to immigrants.

You can definetly use a Washington license to drive in California, but you will have to register your car in Washington and put a WA license-plate on your car.
You could still drive someone else's car without a problem, but if its your car then you will have to register it in the state that your got your license in, you won't be able to switch a WA license to a California one without a SSN.

You don't have to change your license plate. My cousin drives with a DL from Michigan and he stills holds insurance and license plates from Ohio.

Your cousin registered his car in Ohio? or hes driving a car that is registered under someone else? Its intersting what you are saying, I know someone with a North Carolina license and he couldn't register his car in NY without switching his license to a NY license, and he can't switch his license without a SSN so he just registered his car in North Carolina and driving it in NY with a N. Carolina plate.

Hi, i've flown on multiple occasions with just my foreign passport. You can renew it at the consulate of your birth country here in the US. This will be useful to have when you want to take any sort of higher education exams. You can even go clubbing with it. haha. Take care!

A lot of people tell me the same thing. Did you fly when you had a valid visa or expired? Did they go to the page to check your visa?

I advice you to renew your passport. I personally think you won't have any problems, but fly at your own risk. I've been from Cali to Florida and just this winter went to Hawaii and had no problems at all. =]

Yeah i've flown with a foreign passport too. Just make sure it has a recent issue date and picture. I went to the colombian embassy in NYC last year to renew mine but I flew with my old one that had a pic of when i was little so im guessing theres an even bigger chance ill get in with my new passport.

I was in a similar situation to yours.
I moved from Hawaii to Cali in December last year using my high school ID. I am eighteen and graduated from that high school in May 2008, but because the year on the ID is 2007-2008, so I gave it a try (since it was still in the same year)
Well I didnt have any problems, and of coz the ID didn't have DOB.
Oh and you can renew your passport by mailing in the applications and your old passport too (also pictures), I renew mine that way, so you dont have to go there and renew it. And the new passport wont have the expired visa in it.
