Anitagreencard, don't apologize for making a statement that everyone else doesn't necessarily agree with. I see what you are saying. Things like that are like a SLAP IN THE FACE to the rest of us because he is NOT the only one in that situation, granting just him legal status doesn't really change anything. I am sorry if I appear insensitive but that's just how I feel.

same here, as much as i feel sorry for what he had gone through, and all alone too.
it feels that this kind of miracle, luck does not benefit most of us.
whenever i here people got greencard in our community, i am happy for them but it also frustrates me and depresses me so much~~
as much as it frustrates to here that some dreamie got deported,
i don't may be i am not a nice person who cannot celebrate the good news like everyone, but to be in a dump (my status) it's difficult to be happy for people who escaped the dump by sheer luck,
what about all the other dreamies in the same situation, that wasn't so lucky and ended up getting deported?

Some people can be so selfish. I'm sure you wouldn't be saying anything if it was you in his situation.

"I'm happy for him but.." Why but? Just be happy for him period.

This is good to hear. I don't care how undocumented kids get legalized, but they should. He had no choice in the matter, so even if he is getting "special" treatment its fine.

What isn't good to hear is how people are actually against this. What? Seriously, I think it is kind of obvious that life isn't fair. So a kid get legalized, and you don't. How about you go out in public and tell your story, like he did, instead of crying your eyes out. Jealously and selfishness are really great attributes.

For you "bad reputation givers":

I am glad for him, I really am, when someone I know becomes legalized I am genuenly happy for them. It's nothing personal with the kid, but my point is, all the efforts of those celebrities and congress people should have put for helping all kids in that situation, not just him. Now everyone thinks "problem solved, case closed" without realizing there is a bunch of people in the same boat as he was. Am I understood now? or do I still sound like an insensitive b*tch?

"Pennsylvania and a state trooper reported him to federal immigration authorities"-
that truly is a dick thing to do, considering that wasn't even his job....
