Does anyone know of any lawyers who specialize in European (specifically French) immigration and naturalization law?

It would really be cool, if they ever pass the Dream Act, that all of us here could meet up somewhere and enjoy our new freedom. That would be so awesome i think we would cry together from the happiness. Man, I just really hope so that it passes, man Ive prayed, petitioned, called senators, started websites etc. I dont know what else i can do but HOPE.

Peace from Ethos.

True! If the DREAM Act passes, I don't konw what could become of this website hehe

Maybe we could then switch gears and push for some other great bill that deservess to pass...but then again, we don't have the DA yet, so let's keep pushing

"If you are not yet 18 1/2, you can leave the country and apply to immigrate here legally and the unlawful presence will not be held against you."

hey, thanks for posting this really good information.
I just have a question about the statement above?
What does this exactly mean? , according to my parents if I leave the country there is no way for me to come back in. so i cant quite understand how this can apply? I am turning 18 next month, and korean btw, if there is any more information you can give, please do so.
Thank you.

Since you are under 18 right now you do not have a 10 year ban on yourself, meaning that if you were to leave the country you would not automatically be banned from re-entry for 10 years.

The rule says something to the extent of, if you are in the US without status for more than 180 days (after 18th birthday) then you get the 10 year bar. So if you were to leave before six months after your 18th birthday you'd technically not be banned from re-entry for 10 years.

None of this means you are guaranteed permission to return to the country, you'd still have to apply for a visa like everyone else, get approved etc.

Lastly, don't base your decisions on what anyone says on here, always always always speak to a competent immigration attorney before doing anything harsh.

Dream Act To Reality Act?
Looking forward for Health Care Reform

What if it does pass now and 10 years from now people are still looking to get status? I guess we can form an organization and push it.
