Where's the forum's rules?

Once again, I get my thread deleted... I was seeking for help and answers...

Thank you so much for your kind support.

Please be as kind as possible and delete this username and all posts by it.

Once agian, DISAPPOINTED.

My english has been corrected in these forums.
My threads deleted.
I've been treated as a criminal.
And so much more.

You cant be open about something on here. You guys dont show the fucking hard life some of us have. Is it because I'm not going to college right now? I'm not as smart as you? Fuck. All you wanna do is show the media "Hey lookie here, this our forum, where all dreamies come and talk about their issues, see? they're all good people, none of them breaks the law? aww so cute"

Pfft.

I'm sick to my stomach.

So long.

And for those who actually do something for all of us, good luck and keep up the effort!

I have no words for forum admins other than just delete the username and threads.

All I did was to ask a couple of questions about driving without a license in LA county, CA.

Come on...

Well, i hope you are still around. I haven't read your thread to give you my two cents. Then, I could give you some explanation. Maybe if you pm any of the moderators, you will get some form of reply.

All I can say is that it is difficult to get into someone else shoes. I had a big fight with some Dreamers a long time ago -shaking my fist at them right now!- because they were dishing driving. Since it is illegal and as a general rule the DAP does not endorse any illegal activity. Before this damn economy broke, i used to drive around 2-4 hours per day. I could not stop driving and it was the only way earn my wages. It is easy for someone who lives in a big city and has a transportation system to not broke the law. That for me is impossible.

The reality is we live in an unjust system that fosters law breaking. That is why we need to change the laws and not the people. Still, since one of the main arguments against us is that we are lawbreakers. This is a public forum where anyone can read anything. We do not want to look like we endorse any illegal activity, even if we have to break laws it to survive.

Many times, I have seen people questioning other members and making threads about driving, getting a DL from another state, getting married for papers, how to get a fake id -not very often,- among other questions of the like. Again, what they want is just for anyone that comes to this site to feel empathy for us and not to be turn down by some ethical issues.

When posting something, just think about someone you cared but is kind of old fashioned. Would you say the same thing in front of that person? If not, then pm some trusted member and ask for individual advice. Driving because you feel like to, even though you are not supposed to is not right. Saying that you need to drive to go to work will kind of get you off the hook because you need to do it. Adding that you do pay you car insurance and that you are doing everything in your power to be as law abiding as possible does make you look great. It shows that you are a good person forced to do bad things.

I know that many of you rebellious dreamers are rolling their eyes with the whole appearance thing. All I kind say is that it does matter. When I tell people I have a degree in economics, everyone thinks I am smart but evil, when I tell them I have a BA in communication design everyone thinks I am creative, when I tell them I used to be a community organizer in a faith based organization, everyone thinks i am a good person. People threat you accordingly. My ex-coworker was really smart but only had a AA, everyone though she was dumb and when she was elected our acting director, someone had the nerve to ignore her and only speak to the economist -me. That hurt her deeply.

Don't ever think anyone in this site feels superior to you because of any lame excuse. If they do, that says little of them, not you. Do not worry about them. We all use language to produces authority at the moment of speaking, saying "I think we need the Dream act to pass" is not as strong as saying, "The Dream Act needs to pass." Especially when we want to nail someone else. I know I use this language all the time. It might make me look like a jerk and a snob but I rather look like that than looking like a little poor mexican woman. I want respect not pity. Thus, I give you respect and this long explanation and not pity. You don't deserve pity, you deserve respect.

here's the forum rules; and it is a sticky so you can also find it:

http://www.dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=3695

I deleted your thread because of number 4. Do not post information that encourages illegal activity (ie. marrying for papers, obtaining fake SS, fake id, or any other form of falsified documents etc. )

We understand you have to do what you have to do to survive. We just don't want it discussed openly on forum. With that I am closing this thread.
