Hey everyone! I'll address a couple of things:

1. The Myspace page is up and running. Again, its purpose is just to serve as a general reference for those who want to participate and to make it easier for us to spread the word. Right now it is very plain and boring, and that's because I don't know how to use myspace and I don't know much about html. If anyone wants to help manage and update
this account
, and basically just help "jazz it up" by adding some color, PM me and I'll give you the login password info. You are free to edit anything you want on the page. The myspace url is: www.myspace.com/dapcampaign I will be adding some pictures to it later today (the same postcard pics on the facebook account". Does myspace allow people to upload their own pics unto other people's pages? If so,people should definitely post their postcard pics to offer more ideas.

2. I made an error on my postcard. Senators should be addressed as: "The Honorable" John Q. Smith, not Mr. or Mrs.

3. WHEN WILL WE SEND THEM OUT???
We definitely should take into consideration that Congress is in recession from April 4-19 (says the calendar).
What would people prefer to do? Do we want to send all the postcards to the district office for the first two weeks, and then to D.C. for the following two weeks, Or send them all to D.C.? Or, should we postpone this until Monday April 20th when they are back in DC?
So three options: 1. send them all to DC beginning April 6. 2. Send them to district office for the first two weeks (beginning April 6) then to DC for next two weeks
and 3. send them all to DC beginning April 20th.

4. I think that to make this a true success, people have to feel confident that everyone is playing their part in this campaign, and that people are sending out their postcards like they say they are. That said, I'm interested in keeping a tally of the number of postcards we actually get sent out. If people are willing to PM me every week the number of postcards they send out, I'll create a master list and post every weekend the total number of postcards that were sent by DAP members and affiliates. Hopefully we'll meet our target goal of 2,000 per week or at least get close to it. If you are working with a group of friends or family members, just give me the total number that you and your group sent out for the week. Please be honest about your numbers. I think seeing the totals, might make people more interested in participating as well. Obviously, the numbers
won't be entirely accurate, especially if there are a lot of other non-DAP people participating through word of mouth, but I just want to have a rough estimate. It might also be good to keep a record in case we were to attempt another campaign like this in the future. Everything will be updated on the original post for this thread, on myspace, and on facebook.

We can still send them on the April 6th start date. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there is an approximate 2 week period where the letters/postcards/whatever you're sending get screened and make it to their final destination. Just a heads up.

This is a good point. Based on that, I would vote to keep the April 6th start date, and have all the postcards sent to the D.C. addresses, as originally stated.

I can't stress enough that we're all in this TOGETHER. Let's keep it moving!

Ok, so I have a silly question. I went to the Dollar store yesterday and bought 4" x 6" index cards, but I just reread the original post, and it said "blank cards" and the picture examples seem to be blank on both sides, so...are there index cards that are blank on both sides? And where can I get them?

Just wanted to make sure before I started making 'em.
