Speaking for Optimist (without permission), I don't believe her original quote was intended for you Ianus. [Thanks for always keeping us up to date on the more obscure articles] The news articles that are posted in this section are quite helpful, whether they are positive, negative, or in between.

Instead, it was a reference for others that fail to use what you had mentioned up above, LOGIC. They fail to brush off some negativity and take it to heart as impending doom, because they use emotion rather than logic to discern the message behind what is being said.

Sometimes reading the comments from a posted article in the news room is worse than listening to Fall Out Boy or [insert other EMO band here].

What he said.

You know that I truly appreciate your articles and analysis, not only yours but also lib, and CIR 2009.

Here is an article about something that is critical and you gave an estimate of what could happen. The comments range from you being a jerk for posting negative information to reassurance that everything will be fine, we ought to have arguments of what we should do.

All these wonderful information is just that, information, until someone does something with it. You are doing your part, but I wonder if we are keeping up.

It's actually a combination of pig flu and bird flu, a new kind of flu. No vaccine to prevent it so far.

There is no vaccine, but two out of the four anti-viral medications that exist seem to help.
