I am studying in a community college in CA now, but because this college is far away from my house, so I want to transfer to a closer one. I applied for another community college yesterday online. They sent me an email this morning saying that My application for admission to college requires special processing. The Admissions Office will contact me by telephoneor mail within the next 5 to 7 days. I don't know what the speaical processing is, do you think they will let me go to school? I am really worry.

It shouldn't be anything serious, but DO come back and tell us what they tell you... all you're doing is transferring... ^_^

special processing usually means submitting a letter for re-admission as a transfer student. you have to tell me whether you officially withdrew your classes or just "left" the college you attended previously.

Well from my understanding you go to school in CA, where Undocumented students are eligible to attend and pay instate rates. I am not too familiar with California Law. But I am familiar with the state I am living. Therefore What I do is. When applying state under AB"such and such" (I think its AB140, but im not sure)...I am eligible to attend any state public school. They will not be able to deny because they would be breaking the law.

The fact of the matter some of these people do not know shit. And you have to spell it out for them. They may have to go google the bill, but once they know it would make it much simplier for the next person in our shoes who applies.

I went to high school in Hawaii, and I just moved to CA in Dec 2008, because community colleges in Hawaii didn't let me study there. I am paying internationaly tuition in the college I am in right now
