I moved from Hawaii to California in December 08. I am currently enrolling in a CC for spring semester, but I want to transfer to another CC that is closer to my house for next semester. I applied online on May 8, and got an email saying that my application for admission to college requires special processing and the Admissions Office will contact me by telephoneor mail within the next 5 to 7 days. It has been 3 weeks since I sent my application and I haven't recieve any reply. So I called them this morning to ask about my application process. When the lady asked me for my SSN or VISA, I told her I am out of status. Then she said I need to bring all my docunments in and they will make a decision whether they will accept me or not.

I had similar situation when I applied for the school I am enrolling now, but I applied in person. The first time I tried to turn in my application, the lady wanted to see my passport and the dates, etc, but I forgot to bring the passport. But when I brought my passport and tried to turn in the application the second time, a different lady helped me, she didnt asked me for anything, I told her I am out of status when she asked me do I have a SSN. Then she said Ok and accepted the application.

But this time for another CC I applied online and now they want to see my document to decide whether I can enroll or not. I want to know what are they looking for when they said they want to see the visa and the date to determine? and should I applied again in person although I already submitted online application? I am really worry and scare that they won't let me enroll.
