Yeah we need to put more pressure into this issue. Its not just a bill its our future.

txdream is right, we need to put more pressure into this issue. What can we do collectively to get the attention of law makers in Washington? This is the question we should all be asking ourselves. I've been making phone calls, sending faxes, sending mail and e-mails but I still feel like I could be doing more.

Anyone have any ideas on how to go about lobbying for this reform?

What if we were to compile into a small book the different hardship stories of dreamies from all different states. Compile, edit, publish and then mail to each member of congress a copy of the book. Put human faces and real life stories of struggle, perseverance, achievements & potential on the hands of the people that can take of the ilegality label off our shoulders.

I've been waiting for too many years now, and like a lot of you, I don't feel I can wait until 2011-2012.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Perhaps one of us knows a political person that at least is well "in" enough to help out. The book idea that Scobe mentioned would be great. List the benefits of DREAM. Writing is a good tool, and so is action we should seriously see talk to people that have good advice and make allies.

They say its 12 million. Its been 12 million since like 2006. I think its more then 20 million now.

Why is Health Care Reform the priority? DA has been around for 9 years. HCR just stared.

DA also has a much better chance to passing then HCR.

June 25th is the day when Obama and the Congress will discuss the CIR!

This is the never ending story...health care reform then welfare reform then social security reform them gay marriage debate then immigration.begins all over..has anybody else ever noticed this??
