Question to anyone that has gone to Washington more recently.

After you do the knowledge test and prove identity/residency, how long does it take for you to take the driving test? I know you'd have to make an appointment for it, but how long does it take? Can you do it within a couple of days or does it take like a week or something?

I live in Texas and now have an expired lic..I too am afraid to get pulled over and questioned like no other but I have to do what I have to do and try to be extra careful while driving and what not.I just hope its only a matter of time when we(dreamies) will all be able to drive freely and comfortable through this great nation that the United States is.

I feel you mine was set to expire in a month so I had to go to extremes myself but I'm happy to say by the grace of god I was able to get a MD drivers license, and am not afraid to drive around with it sux I had to surrender my unexpired TXDL but small price to pay. I own my with vehicle have my title to prove it and all and it is fully insured by TX standards. I carry my University Student ID so I can use that as my reason for not having a TX DL. I really hope that this only be something to give me peace of mind until Sepemberish..

Could I get some info on the DC thing? I was supposed to do it in MD this summer but then it got ruined because of their new rules. I even had an appointment and everything...

I live in Vegas. Maybe if someone is interested we could all go together?
share the expenses and such.

But of course it needs to be planned very well.

It probably wont be for a while for me since I just got out of high school and still hadn't landed a job.

I've applied so many places had a couple of interviews to get rejected right after they see my "documents".

Very sad

I'm reading up on the New Mexico DMV, actually it seems doable. Anyone who's done it want to share any info on it?
